250th RA Summer Exhibition

June - August 2018

AC 16 by Sarah Ball has been selected for exhibition at the 250th Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London. Coordinator Grayson Perry chose to highlight the work in his tour of the show ahead of the official opening - watch the highlights video below (Sarah’s work can be seen from 00:54).

Perry: ”probably the most beautiful portrait in the room….exquisite portrait as the centrepiece and starting point for his main room”. In an article for Studio International Perry said that it was “possibly my favourite work in the whole show”. This portrait of a young black woman “became the still centre of the maelstrom of agitprop and slightly dubious works.”

The work sold in advance of the official opening of the annual summer exhibition.
